Dr. Arif Masud receives the 2023 JN REDDY MEDAL for his contributions to the mechanics of coupled field problems, stabilized and variational multiscale methods, and discontinuous Galerkin methods. Dr. Masud is John and Eileen Blumenschein Professor of Mechanics and Computations in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Grainger College of Engineering, at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC).
